VETERAN-OWNED · BOOKKEEPING FOR FOUNDERS AND OWNER-RUN COMPANIES

Your books, closed by the 10th.
Every month. Or that month is free.

If I miss the date and I'm not waiting on documents from you, you don't pay for that month.

Reconciled to the statement, categorized to a source document, and delivered with a plain-language summary of what changed. For founders who are tired of finding out in April.

30 minutes. You’ll leave with a written assessment of where your books stand, whether you hire me or not.

Monthly bookkeeping starts at $450/month. Cleanup quoted flat after a free file review. No hourly billing.

  • Books a mess? That's most of them. I scope it and quote it flat before anything starts.

  • Switching sounds painful? You connect read-only access and answer questions once a month. That's your part.

  • New firm? Yes. Certified Intuit ProAdvisor, a close-date guarantee, and a 30-day exit with your file in hand.

The Veteran Edge

Discipline meets financial clarity

Bookkeeping is a process problem before it is an accounting problem. Echelon Ledger treats it that way.

Military Rigor

A structured reconciliation cadence, written procedures, and verification before anything is called final. Every entry traces back to a source document.

A Systems Mindset

Twenty-five years of software engineering behind the process. Automation handles the repetitive work; judgment stays human, and the books get reviewed before they go out.

Direct Accountability

You work with the person who maintains your books. No account-manager layer, no ticket queue, no handoff between the question and the answer.

Scope of Services

What Echelon Ledger does

Each engagement defines exactly which of these applies to you, what gets delivered, and when.

01

Monthly Bookkeeping

Ongoing categorization, reconciliation, and a month-end close on a schedule you can plan around.

  • Bank, credit card, and loan reconciliation
  • Accounts receivable and payable tracking
  • Owner contributions, distributions, and transfers recorded
  • Month-end close package delivered on a set date

Bookkeeping only. No tax filing, no payroll, no access to your money — I’ll refer you to people I trust for those. Narrow scope is why the books are right.

02

Cleanup and Catch-Up

For books that are months or years behind, or that were never set up correctly in the first place.

  • Historical reconstruction and reconciliation
  • Chart of accounts rebuilt and standardized
  • Prior-period corrections documented
  • Scoped, quoted, and dated before work begins

03

Financial Reporting

Statements built to be read, with the context an owner needs to act on them.

  • Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow
  • Class, location, or project segmentation
  • Month-over-month and year-over-year views
  • A written summary in plain language

04

Bookkeeping for Software Companies

Built for founders whose revenue arrives through processors and whose costs live in a dozen subscriptions.

  • Stripe and processor deposits recorded correctly
  • Cloud and SaaS spend tracked, not lumped together
  • Contractor costs documented for year-end
  • Reporting a technical founder can reconcile

How Engagement Begins

Three steps, no mystery

01Step One

Discovery Call

Thirty minutes. What you are running, where the books stand today, and whether Echelon Ledger is the right fit. No pitch deck and no obligation.

30 minutes, no cost

02Step Two

Scope and Setup

A written engagement defining the services, the deliverables, the deadlines, and the price. Access is granted at the least privilege the work requires.

Fixed scope, agreed in writing

03Step Three

Monthly Stewardship

Your books close on the agreed schedule, reports arrive with a summary, and your questions get answered during business hours by the person doing the work.

Delivered on a set date

Who You Are Working With

Founded on a habit of checking the work

Echelon Ledger was founded by Miguel Feliciano, a United States Marine Corps veteran who spent four years in artillery and the twenty-five since building software systems for businesses that could not afford to get the numbers wrong.

Both careers taught the same lesson. Systems fail quietly, and they fail at the places nobody bothered to verify. That is the habit Echelon Ledger brings to a general ledger: a documented process, a reconciliation that ties out, and a second look before anything reaches you.

Twenty-five years of my working life were spent being the person who finds the error before it reaches the customer. A general ledger is the same job with different inputs: every number traces back to a document, or it doesn’t go out.

Operating Principles

The scope is written down
What is included, what is not, and what it costs. Additional work is quoted and approved before it starts.
The books get verified
Automation moves the data. A person reviews it. Nothing goes out on the assumption that a tool got it right.
Boundaries stay clear
Echelon Ledger maintains your financial records. It does not run your operations, direct your staff, or move your money.
Business hours are real
Monday through Friday, scheduled calls, and honest response times. Bookkeeping is not an after-hours emergency.
